Fired Up And Focused On Money
Maria QuattroneGood morning, friends. This is Maria Quatron, this is the Be the Solution podcast. And this morning, gosh, we're already fired up. I am here with Larry Steinhouse, and Larry is a ball of energy. If you don't know this guy, you got to get to know this guy. This is the second time Larry has been on the show. We're going back and having guests uh that gave us great value back on the show. So thank you for tuning in this morning. And Larry, I'm excited to unpack and how we're gonna make more money this year.
Larry SteinhouseYou gotta make more money this year. You know, last year, I'm gonna tell you something. Last year I doubled my net worth and 10 times my income. Ten times. Now, no, it's funny. I I talk to people like, well, you know, if you made $10, you know, then no, that's not how it works. I had a really nice income la the year before. And then for 2025, I 10 times my income. I had to figure out where to hide my income. I when I say hide, I mean like, you know, like how to figure out how to put it in deferred, yeah, deferred tax shelter areas just because I made so much money. I I don't know what to do. I know a lot of people are saying, hey, can you give it to me? But you know, that's not what I'm saying.
Maria QuattroneNah, that's not how it works.
Larry SteinhouseBut I do. I will tell you that I do uh I do a lot of uh charity too. Do I have a charity? Did
Lev27: Keeping Families In Their Homes
Larry SteinhouseI tell you that? No, what is it? So I have a charity called Lev 27. Actually, it's kind of a great thing to start off with this. So it's called Lev 27. Actually, we help people keep stay in their homes, and it's really neat because what we do is we actually I'll show you what this is. So we actually so LEV27 is a charity that helps people stay in their home. So basically, let's say somebody's renting their home uh from a landlord like me or a landlord like you or you know whoever their landlord is, and they fall behind. And they only fall behind because something happened. For example, maybe they lost their job temporarily or they got into a car accident or somebody got sick, right? But they have a job and they they can't, you know, now they have their job, everything's fine, but they're behind their rent in one month or two months, and because most people live paycheck to paycheck, they really can't, they really can't survive this. So now they have the landlord doing exactly what the landlord should do, which is which is evicting them because they're behind a month or two in their rent, right? So we'll come in and we'll actually pay the month or two rent plus the plus any court costs to keep them in their house as long as they can show that number one, they can carry the rent from that point on, and number two, that the landlord won't evict them. So it's kind of a neat charity, and you know, matter of fact, if anybody wants to contribute to it, you go to lev27.org and you can make a donation. And I'll be honest with you, it's a great, it's a great charity. I've actually seen people who were on the verge of being thrown out of their houses, and we got them. We we I remember there was one person who was going to be thrown out the next day, you know, tomorrow, right? And she called us in a panic, and she's got she had three kids, and um something happened. She lost her job temporarily, she had a new job, everything was great, but she was behind and she was she was in a panic, she didn't know what to do. The the sheriff was coming tomorrow, the constable was coming tomorrow to literally uh take her out of her house. We got the money because we you know we have some money set aside for the for the from donations. We ran to the bank, we got a certified check, we ran to her landlord, we delivered the certified check to her landlord to keep her from losing her house. Imagine how grateful she was.
Maria QuattroneWow, yeah, what a story, and that's what we do. Well, it's all part of the people people can only understand this more. It's all part of life, is conscious contribution.
Larry SteinhouseThat's correct, it's giving back, it is um taking care of others, and correct, absolutely people you have to do it.
Maria QuattroneYou have it's actually like people don't even realize this, and it's actually like part of your existence of why you're here. And I don't think most humans don't even understand that.
Larry SteinhouseContribution is critical, you know, and and God blesses those who bless others. And the funny part is people don't understand, you know, like I don't do it just because God will bless me. I do it because God has blessed me, to be honest with you, right? And I do it because, you know, like like you know, God's been good to me. Uh, you know, you've you've been to my house, I live in a beautiful house. I have, you know, I have a lot of money, I have a lot of things I can do, so I want to make sure I can take care of as many people as I can that deserve it. And sometimes people don't deserve it. You need to understand what that means too. Sometimes people that they're their own problem. They're the reason that they're in the situation they're in. And as a matter of fact, you're the reason you're in the situation you're in, right? Everyone's in the situation they're in. If you work hard and you do things like you, you're sitting here doing a podcast, right? You do a podcast, what, every day, every other day, every week? I don't even know what you do, right? And you're doing something. That's why you're successful, right? You guys, if you're watching this and you want to know why people are successful and why you're not, well, get off your ass and do something. And if you get off your ass and do something, things will happen. We sorted out this podcast saying that I 10 times my income last year. You know why? I 10 times my income because I did something, I took a chance at something that could have gone bad, but you know what? It went so well that I 10 times my income. I doubled my net worth. You know why I doubled my net worth?
Action Beats Excuses: Work Ethic Rant
Larry SteinhouseBecause things well worked out, because I tried them. You know, I was buying silver when silver was $13, $14 an ounce. Silver hit almost $120 an ounce yesterday. So understand that you take the risk. You've got to take the risk. You got to do something. If you take your money and you put it in a bank account and you spend it, you know, when your bills are late because you don't you don't pay attention to your bills, well, you're gonna have nothing. You have to start paying yourself first. So collecting silver, collecting money, owning property that you make payments on, and every and every payment you pay it down a little bit of principal, that's also paying yourself. That's how you can increase your net worth. Everybody listening to this, if you're not a millionaire yet, just understand a millionaire is very easy to get to. Now, I'm gonna tell you, it's hard to get to because once you you have to change your mindset. Once you change your mindset, becoming a millionaire is easy, right? Maria, you know, you know, it's so easy, right? Listen, look at you. You're you're one of the top real estate agents, right? It's funny because there are real estate agents, and we know this, right? Real estate agents, right? The average real estate agent makes less than $30,000 a year. That's average. That's including probably 60% of them who do one or zero deals a year. Why do they do one or zero deals a year? They go, hey, I got a real estate license. I'm gonna be just like Maria. And but how come the phone isn't ringing? I don't understand. This is supposed to make a lot of money. I'm supposed to make $200,000 a year because I got a real estate license for $150. No, it doesn't work like that. You're in business for yourself. And you, Maria, right? You are, I've seen you work this business, right? You're one of the reasons why. You're the only reason why you're successful, by the way, right? And you're one of the reasons why people want to get into this industry because they see Maria Quatron. They go, Maria Quatron, look how much money she makes. I'm gonna make that kind of money. You know what? You ain't making that kind of money until you start doing what Maria Quatron does. Now, well, how long have you been a real estate agent for, Maria?
Maria QuattroneSince 2004.
Larry SteinhouseRight. You remember your first year? Right? Your first year to find you.
Maria QuattroneI remember my first I remember my first year clearly, Larry, because I was working as a radio uh account executive selling airtime. Wow. And I decided that in November, December of 03, I was gonna get into real estate. In January, I took the class week three, weekends, whatever it was, all weekend long while I was working full-time. And then I got the license, started to sell real estate, had my first deal closed March 31st, 2004. I closed 17 sides that year while still fully employed. And then in February 5th, 2005, I resigned from that business. And that's it. Then I did my second, that was my second year in 05, and I closed 38 sides. You know what? Back then that was a lot of deals.
Larry SteinhouseThat's a lot of deals now.
Maria QuattroneWell, I explained to people because you know, people are just lazier today for some reason. I don't really know what, but I explained we didn't have DocuSign. You know, what was the awful? It was always Friday night, seven o'clock. I had to drive the feature feast of delivery.
Larry SteinhouseAnd and you drove it willingly, right?
Maria QuattroneYeah, I got in the car, put the music on. Right. I I had an hour to drop off a pat uh agreement of sale.
Larry SteinhouseI was selling a property, right? I was selling a property, and this I get a call from this real estate agent, and she, you know, I it's my own property, but I'm also the selling agent because I happen to be licensed to. I I don't do much real estate. Most of the stuff I do is my own, or just maybe investment properties here and there. I own a brokerage called the Investor Brokerage, but it's you know it's it's small, and we only do it, like I said, we only do it for investment properties or for our own. But I get a call from an agent because I have one of my properties for sale, and the agent calls me up, and it's Saturday at three o'clock. And she calls me up and she says, uh, one of my clients wants to see your house. You know, is it really worth seeing? You know what my response was? I said, Is it worth your commission? I said, go show it. I mean, I couldn't believe this agent actually called me up and said, Is it worth is it worth seeing? You know, you you're a commission. You need to go there, you need to walk through the house, you need to sell it, right? I mean, I don't care if I sell it or don't sell it, it doesn't matter to me. You you make a commission. And sure enough, right? This agent dropped the ball. But by the way, she goes there, the client loves it, buys it, puts it under contract, and the agent drops the ball four times during the during the transaction. I'm like, this is why you don't make any money. It's so simple. It's an it's actually a really
Risk, Net Worth, And Paying Yourself First
Larry Steinhouseeasy uh business, but you have to work your ass off and you got to be able to like like you said, Friday night, go pick up a depositor. We don't do that anymore. It's you hate DocuSign because you can't see the client in front of you, right? You know, you you cow remember this, right? When the client used to sign the contract, you'd sign the contract, and you could look in their eyes and you would know if there was gonna be a problem or not. You know what I mean? Now it's DocuSign. You send it, and maybe, maybe you sign it back, maybe they don't. Who knows?
Maria QuattroneYeah, maybe they do that all the time with the listing contracts. Right. You know, it's like a game. Let's say I spent two hours talking to you at two different times, an hour, an hour. You say to sign the contract, they send the contract, and then you don't sign it. It's like I I'm not gonna.
Larry SteinhouseOh, I gotta talk about it. Let me have my attorney look at it. I mean, come on, it's not.
Maria QuattroneI have to have it's 90,000. I have to have my attorney look at it. Yeah, I'm like, okay, seriously, I don't have I I I don't have time for this stuff. You're either gonna move forward or you're not. We're not chasing you, okay?
Larry SteinhouseThat's exactly and that's why right. You're right.
Maria QuattroneYou're getting fired up this morning already, Larry. You just want me as your agent, fine, find the paper.
Larry SteinhouseIf not, go away. Go find some junk agent. Go hire your sister-in-law who just got a license yesterday who who sell your property. You know, this is this is the craziness.
Maria QuattroneIt's the craziness. And you know, last year I had a lot of craziness, and I got so mad. I'm like, these people don't even deserve me. Right, that's exactly right. I don't care what you're paying me, it's not enough. Yeah, by the way. And I make no money unless it closes, and I'm tired of marking your property for free. So I'm sick of it. Like, I gotta have a new whole system over here, raising my price point, ton of this nonsense. You don't like the price, go pay on sand. I don't know what to say.
Larry SteinhouseI got your toe fired up. But here's I am fired up. So if you're watching this program and you're going, wow, these guys are talking about real estate. I'm not a real estate agent. No, we're talking about business, right? I so I did I actually interviewed Mike Lindell. You know who Mike Lindell is? My pillow?
Maria QuattroneYeah, I should know.
Larry SteinhouseMike Lindell, the guy who who was my pillow, right? The guy you ever see my my commercial? Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's actually running for uh Minnesota governor, and he's yeah, actually, oh Michigan governor. Hopefully he should win. But anyway, um, but but Mike Lindell, I interviewed him on my radio show, and Mike Lindell was telling me how how the early stages of my pillow, he would hand deliver pillows. Like if somebody said, Hey, I need a pillow today, and he goes, Can you get it to me today? He would get in his car and he would drive to that person's house and drop off a $69 pillow. $69. It cost him more in gas to drive to that person's house than it did the money he made on a pillow. And that's how he became. I mean, he's got 1,500 employees. Now, actually, he sold the business to his son, but he has 1,500 employees, and they're all, and my pillow is one of the most famous brands out there, all because he's he did what he needed to do. That's why Maria is the way she is, that's the way I am the way I am. You know, I I people all the time. So we have a company called Investor Schooling. And investor schooling, what we do is we teach people how to make money, right? Teach people how to make money with real estate, we teach people how to make money in the stock market, right? And I actually say that I work 80 hours a week to teach people how not to work 40. Show up. When you show up, you'll make money. When you show up for your business, you'll make money. If you don't show up for your own success, you'll never be there.
Maria QuattroneThey have to show up. Larry, what does it take today? I want you to tell people what it takes today.
Larry SteinhouseIt takes a non-give up attitude. So people give up. Stop giving up. Let me tell you something. I failed more times than the average person tried. And that's the biggest thing. People are like, oh, what if I fail? Oh my god. You know, if I take my $50,000, all the $50,000 I have to my name, if I take that and I lose it, oh my God, they don't have nothing. You already have nothing. If you have $50,000 to your name, you have nothing. Stop thinking you have anything. Stop thinking that you are bigger than you are, right? I mean, I don't care. It's a million dollars. It's my last million dollars. I I could invest in a business where I could make $40,000 a year from my financial advisor, which by the way, they're terrible. Uh well, if my million dollars, no, you need to invest that money. You need to make some changes. It's not working. What you're doing is not working. Start changing it. That's the look, you know. Like I said, investor schooling, right? So this is what we have. So if you go to investorschooling.com, you can take a free class. We could teach you how to do it. And we teach people how to invest in real estate with no money. You know, you can buy properties with absolutely no
Real Estate Reality Check And Professionalism
Larry Steinhousemoney, Maria. I'm not even sure you know this, right? Right? Where? Right, absolutely no money. Now, you can't do it through a traditional bank. We're gonna teach you how to do it. You can do that. You could also, I mean, you just need to learn how to do it. Also, stock market, right? People think the stock market's rigged. You know what? Even if you think it's rigged, I don't care. How would you like to know how how to rig it yourself and make money yourself? Uh I do it all the time. You know, I have a fund. You know, again, I don't know if you know if you know about this. We have the Sultan Income Fund, right? I can't really talk about it. Yeah, so the Sultan Income Fund is an awesome fund. And the fund, by the way, it's it's now so so uh you know, I could basically talk about it, but we it's closed. We have five million was the cap. We stopped it, we're gonna open another fund come June. But five million was the cap. But how about this? How about if you like enjoy an investor schooling and you watch us trade people's money? So we actually trade other people's money and we show you how we make other people money. You know that the average person in a fund made three thousand dollars for every hundred thousand dollars they invested, they made average three thousand dollars a month, and they get a check for that three thousand dollars every month on average, right? Yeah, and uh you know, just um in case uh in case uh my attorney watches this, you know, uh past performance is no guarantee of future of future performance. It's for accredited investors only. Uh it's by PPM placement only, so private placement memorandum. Uh principal is not guaranteed. I don't know, whatever else I'm supposed to say. But you know, my attorney makes me say all these things. And he oh, he also says that I'm not allowed to say that it's three to four percent a month return. So I only say that the returns are so high that my attorney says I can't say what they are. Okay, I've covered all the bases, but you know, so but if people like they don't understand that you can make a lot more money than you making. The worst place to put your money right now is an annuity. I'm like, oh no, annuity. Uh there's financial advisors. You know why financial advisors sell annuities?
Maria QuattroneThey get paid more money. I don't know.
Larry SteinhouseThat's exactly right. They get the highest commission off of your money if they sell you an annuity. So why would they sell you anything else? Hey, you've heard about an annuity, right? You know what it is, right? So I'll sell it to you, and you'll lose money for the first 10 years, you're guaranteed to lose money. It's just so right in the illustration. You're guaranteed to lose money. So why anybody would put an annuity get an annuity? I don't understand.
Maria QuattroneSo silver, you know, I'm really mad about the silver because you didn't listen to me the first time I told you to buy it.
Larry SteinhouseThat's why.
Maria QuattroneWell, not only that, I I said to my husband last in December, we that's 60. I'm like, we have to buy it. So that's that's too late to buy it, 120.
Larry SteinhouseSo is it hit 120 today already? Wow.
Maria QuattroneI don't know. I'm just gonna whatever it is, is it too late to buy?
Larry SteinhouseUh, yes and no. It's not too late. It's actually 112 right now. Um, it's not too late to buy it. I I wouldn't buy a whole lot of it right now. Like, you know, buy it. So so what my philosophy with silver was. My philosophy with silver was it's zombie apocalypse money. So when the zombie apocalypse happens, and you know what the zombie apocalypse is? It's when the Democrats take over. I'm sorry, that's not what I meant. I mean uh the zombie apocalypse is when it's not gonna happen. The zombie apocalypse is when the grid goes down, yeah, right. When when uh the grid goes down, when you know there's no electric, there's no computers, you know, and nothing working, right? And you can't use your credit cards, you can't use your your cash, or you run out of cash because you don't have it.
Maria QuattroneYou can happen because I keep hearing about it.
Larry SteinhouseProbably never.
Maria QuattroneTen days of darkness.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, so uh but first of all, I believe it's gonna happen. The real question is for how long? Can it happen for an hour? Yeah, maybe big deal. Nobody's gonna care.
Maria QuattroneLast week, last week Microsoft went down.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, right. Remember Verizon?
Maria QuattroneVerizon was down for days before the week before Verizon was down for 10 hours.
Larry SteinhouseThat's right. So these are zombie apocalypse episodes, right? But if all of them go down at once, which could happen. I mean, look, you know, we have uh the quantum computer coming out, and somebody can use it for evil. You know, you you've seen the terminator movies. Now, that's one one side, and that's like I call it the zombie apocalypse, right? So I'd have silver and I could exchange a silver coin for milk. My neighbor has a cow, I could exchange a silver coin for milk, right? Now that's fine. Also, by the way, bullets are gonna become verycome very valuable as well. So that's zombie apocalypse money. Now, on the other side, I'm also gonna tell you something else which is interesting, Bitcoin. Now, I I'm anti-Bitcoin for since Bitcoin came out, right? Or since I heard about Bitcoin. And the only reason I was handy Bitcoin is because you know, what the hell is it? It's not it doesn't even exist, it's not even real, right? It's just whatever somebody wants to pay for it. Now, silver, I wasn't buying silver for investment, although it turned out to be a credible investment. I mean, I more than five times my investment in silver, which is fantastic, you know. But on the other side, there's Bitcoin. Now everybody was buying Bitcoin. Oh, Bitcoin's going up, let's buy it, let's make money, let's make money, let's make money. Don't buy Bitcoin for that. Bitcoin is the opposite side of the zombie apocalypse. Bitcoin is the AI revolution money. So it's gonna happen when AI comes to, you know, the full revolution. Actually, there's two things that can happen. One is AI causes the zombie apocalypse, or AI becomes the prevalent, I don't know, way of doing business, right? Where everything is gonna go through AI. So AI is not gonna use cash, it's not gonna use credit cards, it's gonna use cryptocurrency. And the most likely cryptocurrency will be Bitcoin because it's the most popular. So now I've got the two extremes taken care of. I've got the zombie apocalypse and I've got the AI revolution. So if you haven't started in either one and you want to put a little bit of money away, that's okay. Put a little bit of money, buy a little bit of silver, buy a bar of silver, 10-ounce bar of silver, spend, you know, uh, you know, a thousand bucks or eleven hundred bucks on a bar of silver. Also, maybe you buy $500 worth of Bitcoin, whatever you have, you know, and then you just do recurring buys. And you just do recurring buys. And and listen, eventually what's gonna happen is you're gonna have it in a safe, you're gonna have your silver in a safe, you're gonna have your Bitcoin in your if you understand a ledger, you can have it in a ledger, or you could just do it Coinbase for now. So if you're buying Bitcoin, you buy it on Coinbase, or actually OnlyBulls, which is a great app that my friend of mine came up with. What's it called? It's called Only Bulls, and it's a great app. It's actually a billionaire friend of mine created it, and I'm just like so happy to know this guy. This is gonna revolutionize, he's gonna revolutionize the whole blockchain. That's a whole other conversation to have is blockchain. But but I'm like really getting into blockchain because blockchain is gonna be amazing. So you we were talking about this before. We were talking about DocuSign, right? Imagine like you go to a buyer house, right? Right now, you have to buy your house, you have to go to a title company, you gotta sit down with the title agent, right? Now, if you put your house on the blockchain, now I I'd have to get into I don't even know if you know what the blockchain is, but the blockchain is how cryptocurrency gets transacted, and it gets transacted with a bunch of computers that record that transaction, right? And it's locked, it's like you can't change that. Nobody can change it. So instead of going to a title company, which they have to ask you for ID, right? And you know, people forge titles and things like that, right? If I had my house and my title was on the blockchain, no one can forge it. Now, if I go to sell it to you, Maria, you get a code with my with uh whatever with my username, whatever, however, however, however it works, and you're gonna be the purchaser, I'm gonna be the seller. Your money gets put into an account, my house is in in uh, you know, in In the account, and the two just exchange. And when they exchange, I get whatever my my few million dollars for my house on my blockchain or my ledger, and you get the house title. And it will be like this. This is what's going to happen. I would say 10 years from now, easily, that probably 50% of transactions are going to be done in a blockchain. And once the blockchain gets done and gets created, it's going to be amazing. So my friend Todd Alt, and this is where I was going with this, he created something called only bulls. He's
Show Up: Business, Grit, And Failure
Larry Steinhousealso created something called AltNodes. And actually, if you go to LarryNodes.com, you can find out what more about them. There are money left that actually. He sold half 500 million of them, I believe they are. And every time somebody does something in a blockchain, I get a little piece of money. And I don't even know how much I get. I don't even care. But I get a little piece of money. But this is a complicated, it's a it's a complicated, it's a complicated transaction system made really simple for the average user. So these are ways you can make money. You can actually have notes. You can have these nodes, and every time somebody transacts on a blockchain, you can make a couple of bucks. It's not like mining Bitcoin, which is the old way to do it. This is like mining any transaction. Oh, I believe he's going to be the forefront of the people putting things like real estate on the blockchain. Now, if anybody wants to have more about this, I mean I I I kind of like scratch the surface. By the way, if anybody wants to talk to me, you could you could uh you know what to do this go to um LarryZoom.com. Larry's, you can make an appointment with me. Just put down that you saw me on Maria's podcast and it'll be free. Larryzoom.com, LarryZoom.com, and you could make an appointment with me. I'll talk about this, I'll talk about real estate, I'll talk anything you want to talk about, but I am so fired up on all the different ways to make money because that's what I'm doing. That's how, you know, I told you, once again, 10 times my income and double my net worth last year. And the reason was all of these different little things I'm doing. I mean, imagine last year, right? Whatever I had in silver, and it was a lot, whatever I had in silver is now worth four times what it was worth this time last year. So think about that. And that's part of how my net worth got double. Now, it's only part of it because my my investment has gone up, my savings have gone up. When I say savings, I mean you know, like my investments have gone up because of uh because of what I'm doing. So these are all things you need to do and you need to diversify. Silver, real estate, Bitcoin, or crypto if you want to use other crypto. I happen to like Bitcoin as the only one that I would do right now. But anyway, crypto, uh, you know, whatever, have businesses, right? Maria, you're you're heavily invested in your business. You're heavily invested in real estate. I mean, you you're one of those people like me. I and I don't know if this is like you, but I I'm assuming, but I don't never, I never have to work another day in my life, right? Never have to. I mean, just I could stop working tomorrow. But you, just like me, just like other millionaires and billionaires, like Elon Musk, for example, right, will never give up. Why would we stop working? It isn't about the money, it's about the fun, it's about the thrill of the game, it's about helping others. We talked about Love 27 and my charity, right? It's about helping others, it's about bringing people to investor schooling and having them learn how to make more money. You know, I get thrilled when people come to investor schooling. It's I get thrilled they make money. I had one guy who's a truck driver. The guy's literally a truck driver. He came to investor school and he goes, I've been a truck driver my whole life. And I'm like, okay, great. And he made like 65 to 75,000 ish every year of his entire life, right? And he goes, I can't do this anymore. He goes, I want to change my life. So last year in stock options alone, he made 115,000. And he's still driving his truck, right? So he may have the best year of his life financially because he came to investor schooling. I mean, we have programs, you ready for this? You ever hear of this, right? We have programs. Do you ever hear of a program, right, that guarantees you're gonna make money the first month? Anyone in the world, can anybody say that? I don't think so. But I guarantee that people are gonna make money their first month. They come to me, there's a certain program we have. If you join that program, we guarantee you will make money the first month. Guaranteed. If not, I don't care, I'll give you money back. But I it can't happen. So, and this also somebody said to me, they like, you know, what's your success rate? And I sort of started to think about it. I'm like, in the one program, it's 100% success rate. This one program is a hundred percent success rate. So it's amazing to me that we have a program that could do that. It's amazing to me that anybody could do that, you know. But so if you go to investorschooling.com, you can find out more hundred percent success rate. Now, the other programs are, you know, it depends on what people do. I know I'm like I'm I'm off fire too, Maria. Look at you. You look like a deer, you look like a deer in a headlight right now.
Maria QuattroneBecause it's so much and it's so many different things, and it's awesome. It really is. And guys, if you don't think Lattery is the real deal, you're mistaken. It's not bullshit. So, you know, I love the energy, I love the enthusiasm, I love that you love life, and most people don't. Most people do not have the energy, enthusiasm, charisma that you do, which is why you attract people at first.
Larry SteinhouseCharisma, I love that word. That's cool.
Maria QuattroneWell, it's it's all about you know what you attract, right? I tell people this all the time. Got to change your frequency. Guess what? Some I had a friend come over the other day, and he's all down and mail, blah, blah, blah, because he got taken for 50 grand. I said, okay.
Larry SteinhouseYou got taken for 50 grand from what?
Maria QuattroneUh it's like a kind of old story, but it's stupidity, partially. But I said, here's the deal. It's six weeks ago. Stop torturing your wife and get with the program. Let it go. Don't let the guy continue to tell you he's gonna give you the money, he's gonna give the money, just let it go. Lesson learned. Let it go. Exactly right. Raise your frequency. You gotta do that to attract more and better things, like get rid of that bad vibe. Nobody wants to sit around
Silver, Bitcoin, And The Two Futures
Maria Quattronewith some person mooping around.
Larry SteinhouseAbsolutely true. And and you're and we'll find people put themselves in their own position, right? They want, he's like, he's not for the rest of his life. He goes, if I didn't lose that 50,000, my life would be great. Well, you know, if you don't stop that, if you don't stop that thinking, what's gonna happen is you could you're gonna for the rest of your life you're gonna blame that. I mean, I've seen people like they like they they say, um, well, I got divorced and divorce ruined my life. And I'm like, when did you get divorced? Oh, 20 years ago. 20, are you freaking kidding me? I mean, if you got divorced three months ago, you could say that, but that's a temporary spot anyway.
Maria QuattroneIt's temporary. So this the podcast feed solution is all about being the solution. Sometimes I have to even remind myself of that. But it's about radical accountability and responsibility. And ultimately, you know, if we walk around with a victim mindset, that's a victim mindset.
Larry SteinhouseThat's correct.
Maria QuattroneAnd if it's to be, it's up to me. Like, period, at the end, like get in by silver, whose fault? My fault. Can't blame my husband. I could have written the check.
Larry SteinhouseThat's correct. Here, if you're watching this program and you're broke, it's your fault. If you watch this program and you're rich, it's your fault. If you watch this program and you aren't where you want to be, it's your fault. If you watch this program and you want to be where you want to be, it's your fault. And once you understand that, once you realize that, it's so simple. Now, there's very few things that out there that could that that are your control, but you which how you handle things that will create will either create wealth or make you lose your wealth. I mean, you know, people I I have a friend of mine who's got cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy, walk, right? His his whole lower is like spaghetti. You know, yeah, he walks on these crutches, and you know, he and and to me, how he walks in these crutches, right? We I was at there with me and I was at an event, and I'll tell you what, we were walking on glass, you know, like they do this the hurrah thing, walk harrah thing, right? And he's in his wheelchair and he's watching everybody walk on glass. So I knew to another friend of mine said, Come with me. He goes, Where are we going? I said, Come with me. And we pick him up and we carry him onto the stage, and he can move his feet, right? But you know, they don't they're useless, but he can move his feet, right? And he and and he walks across the glass with us carrying him. And it was just an amazing moment. So he could walk on glass. If he can walk on glass, you can pick up the phone and call somebody to make your next deal. You can invest in something to make money, you can do it. I mean, you see all these people out there, they have they have problems and they're doing better than you are. Why? Because they make an effort. I mean, you remember um, oh, what was his name? Uh the kung fu guy. What was his name?
Maria QuattroneBruce Lee. I forgot.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, Bruce Lee, right. Bruce Lee, right? You do know you know the story of Bruce Lee? You know, he got ambushed in a in a fight, like you know, like he won the fight and he turns around, and his competitor comes and gives him uh an amazing flying into his back and breaks Bruce Lee's back. Bruce Lee was now in a hospital bed for over a year. And while he's in this hospital bed recovering from this, and he might have never walked again, he's writing a book on Kung Fu. He wrote the book on Kung Fu while he's in a hospital bed recovering from a broken back. He's drawing pictures upside down on a pad. He's drawing pictures uh of how to kick somebody property, how to punch somebody property, how to do all of these moves. He grab he comes out of the hospital, he recovers, and he goes out on uh, and that's how and because he didn't give up.
Maria QuattroneIt's all about not giving up, never ever. I have a little thing on my phone, it comes up every morning at 6:30, and it says, it's the first thing, six o'clock. Sorry. I only fail if I give up, and I never, ever, ever, ever give up.
Larry SteinhouseYou know, I was watching, uh, I was watching uh Arnold Schwarzenegger this morning. You know, he's doing the circuit of doing all his motivational stuff right now. So he's all these clips on Facebook right now, and he's exactly what he said. He said, You can only fail if you give up. And it's funny because you talk about over and over again all the things I I mean I failed at so many businesses. It's it's remarkable. But I have I have been successful at other businesses, and you have to be you have to fail. Well, you don't have to fail, but if you fail, it's just lessons you learned. Hey, why did I fail? What did I what happened here? No, it's because of the economy. No, it's not because of the economy, it's because you did something wrong. What did you do wrong? Learn from that. Figure out why did your business fail? And you got to go inward, never outward. Okay, my business failed because I didn't reach out to enough people. My business failed because uh the idea might not have been as good as I thought it was gonna be, and this is why, right? No matter what it is, you got to go back to yourself and figure out why, because the next business is gonna fail too if you blame it on the economy. Because the economy is always bad, it's always bad if you're in business, right?
Maria QuattroneYeah, the economy has nothing to do with your personal economy.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, exactly.
Maria QuattroneThat's a hard concept, Larry, for to understand for some reason.
Larry SteinhouseThat's correct. Once you understand that you have your own economy, your own built-in economy in your own house, in your own living, that you will once you get that, your life will change.
Maria QuattroneYou know, if somebody's right now listening to this and they're not where they want to be, what do you tell them?
Larry SteinhouseKeep going. Keep going. I'm new, right? If you're not where you want to be and you're not reading books, you're not reading motivational books, you're not reading books on money, you're not going to things like investor schooling, and you're not doing those things, well, you're gonna be the same place next year. Hey, I wish my life was better. Maybe next year it'll be better. What are you gonna do to make it better? What are you gonna sit on? You know, I'm sitting here, you can't see, but I I don't know if you if you but I lost 50 pounds over over one year. I lost 50 pounds. So from from this time last year to now, I lost 50 pounds, right? You want to know how I lost 50 pounds?
Maria QuattroneYou worked out in your basement.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, it wasn't sitting on the couch going, I wish I was 50 pounds later, please. It doesn't work that way, man. I have I have a you saw my gym, right?
Maria QuattroneYes, I do.
Larry SteinhouseI actually I actually gym on my basement. I hired a personal trainer. Now I realize that not everybody can do this, but so what? Get some weights, you know, go for a walk, go for a run, do whatever it is that you need to do if you want to lose weight, right? It's the same thing with money, right? Start doing something different. I I hired a trainer. Now you saw my my my my my basement. My basement, if I all I have to do is just touch every single weight every day, do one, five reps, but I can't, right? I also I also make sure I do it right. So I hired a personal trainer, right? The personal trainer is my coach. He shows up in my house every morning. Matter of fact, he was just here a couple of a couple of minutes ago, right before we started this podcast. He shows up every day. Hire a coach, have a coach teach you how to do something. I'm a money coach. There's very few money coaches out there that even know what they're doing. I mean, people call themselves money coaches. I'm a money coach, right? What's your net worth? Well, uh, it's been a bad year. I'm sorry, but you're not a money coach. If you're not at minimum a millionaire, you're not a money coach. Okay, at minimum a millionaire. Right.
Maria QuattroneSo I mean, I mean you can't retire on a million dollars.
Larry SteinhouseNo, no, I understand, but there are people out there that's calling themselves mini money coaches. I can help you make more money. Well, how about helping yourself first? Right? So make sure you, if you're gonna hire a money coach, and again, I'm a money coach, but if you're gonna hire a money coach,
Blockchain, Nodes, And New Income Streams
Larry Steinhousemake sure they are practicing what they preach and they've already shown you that they can actually make the money that's gonna teach you how to make, right? Make sure they have make sure they make sure they're credible because there's so many people out there that are complete bullshit artists. I mean, you got these registered reps. Uh, registered registered rappers, right? The guys you put your money with. Well, I have a guy, he invests for me. Really, how much did you make last year? Well, he said I made eight to seven to eight percent. No, he didn't. I bet you if you go back, you made two to three percent if you if you made anything. I had one guy came to my school, he said his registered rep he was making seven or eight percent a year. And I said, let's do the math. It turned out that last year he made 0.41%. The stock market was on fire last year, and he made 0.41%. Oh no. And he's his registered rep telling he was making seven or eight percent a year. So if you're not even paying attention to what your registered rep is doing, you need to start paying attention. Now, I don't sell stuff, I don't sell, you know, I don't sell annuities, I don't sell education. I don't care who you use to buy the buy the um vehicles that I teach you how to use. It doesn't matter to me. But just make sure that when you buy them, you're buying what's right for you. You know, like I say all the time, annuities. Absolutely the worst, the worst financial mistake people can make is buy annuities. It cracks me up that people out there are buying annuities, and it's just a big scam that these registered reps will sell you. Matter of fact, if I I actually have a recommendation for a registered rep, and you want to know the number one reason why he's he's uh I recommend him? Number one reason he doesn't sell. They're not even on his they're not even on his plate. He's like great. That makes you that makes you a hero in my case, right? He sells the apps.
Maria QuattroneYou have to stand out. You have to you have to stand for something.
Larry SteinhouseGood, I like him, but but at the same time, you know, I just recommend him, you know, uh people come to me with their money, like you know, I want to put some some safe money away, I want to put some money in fund, I want to put, you know, I want to learn how to do it myself, and I and I have here have people diversify, you know. Like, look, you know, look, I I make personally, I make on my own money, I'm between six and eight percent a month on my own money, every month, consistent, right? So everybody says to me, Well, why do you own real estate? Why don't you sell all your real estate and just do this? I'm like, because it's diversification, right? Something can go wrong. And if something goes wrong, I'm gonna make sure I have money over here. I want to make sure I have silver, I want to make sure I have Bitcoin, I want to make sure I have real estate, I want to make sure I have other things. Now, look, if you're just starting out, you got to pick something and stay there for a little while, stay in a lane for a little while. Maybe real estate is the lane. You know, it's okay. Buy real estate with no money, start making money, and then you'll then you can start diversifying and putting money in other things. Yeah, what's the average car payment out there, Marie? Do you know? Take a guess.
Maria Quattrone700.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, it's probably a little less, maybe 500, right? The average car. So the average person goes out, they're like, I need a new car, I'm gonna pay $500 a month. No, don't pay $500 a month. Go buy a piece of property that generates $500 a month income and use that money that property generates to buy the car. People buy depreciating assets. A car is a depreciating asset, right? I mean, I no matter what car you well, there's certain cars like I have a couple of collector cars, but even those that they don't go up in value that much. So, but a car, an average car is a depreciating asset. An appreciating asset to pay for the depreciating asset. Don't take it out of your salary. I mean, that's $500 that you could that you need to survive on or live, save, and now you're throwing it away at a car. Go buy an appreciating asset that pays for the car. Always do that.
Maria QuattronePeople are in a lot of people are in a tough situation, you know. There's 70% of people can afford a sub $400,000 house.
Larry SteinhouseWell, so if you think about it, there's a whole lot, there's a whole lot to unpack there, right? Right.
Maria QuattroneThere, I mean, 70% cannot afford what the average cost is in market. And there's not enough regular houses that are 200,000 to 300,000 where the majority of them buy in.
Larry SteinhouseThere's not enough houses in any, I'm telling you, any market. You know, I I just bought my house. My my house is, you know, for 2.8 million out of 2.8 million, right? But but it's but it's there aren't there weren't that many houses in this price range. There were at the time, I think there were seven or eight houses in this price range. Now, so so you know, bidding wars and two and a half million dollar, three million dollar houses are happening. So just understand that it's in every every price range, right? You know, how $100,000 house goes to the market, if it's worth $100,000, it's gonna be sold in an hour. So it's any price range. And the people who are struggling to buy a house, look, you know, you part, and you know this as well as I do. Part of the problem is the big the biggest problem is they're bidding too low. So like Maria House is listed for $150. Let's bid $125, are you an idiot, right? Are you an idiot? We no, you're gonna bid $165. No, that's more money than they're asking. Do you want the house or not?
Maria QuattroneYeah, well, there's a problem because you know, I'm I'm a listing broker, I get offers, we get offers from buyer. The people haven't a thousand dollar deposit, all the rest of the money is coming from a grant, delays and closing.
Larry SteinhouseAs long as it's all as long as it's all legit.
Maria QuattroneOh no, legit, it's just that people really don't have money to buy homes. Right. Uh and if you can barely buy the house, that's frightening to me personally.
Larry SteinhouseLike, all right, so I'm I I'm gonna be on the other side. If you could barely buy the house, but you can buy it, buy it.
Maria QuattroneWell, I'm not saying they shouldn't
Diversify Smart: Stocks, Real Estate, Crypto
Maria Quattronebuy it. Um people need a better education in in handling money.
Larry SteinhouseOh, absolutely. Hey, you want to know how they can investor school? Well, yeah, that's true too. Or they could just read my book. And if they want a digital copy, yeah, that's cool. So that's my book. My book is called Money Hacks, and I teach money in this book, right? I teach people how to make money, I teach people how to rebuild their credit score. Do you know that you could manipulate your credit score 150 points in three weeks?
Maria QuattroneWell, that's pretty good.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, I've done it. I do it all the time, just for fun, actually. So you can manipulate your credit score 150 points in three weeks, okay? Now, look, if you're gonna buy this book and you're not paying, you're making your payments on time, there's nothing I can do for you. But if you're making your payments on time or have for a substantial amount of time, I could fix your credit score. Matter of fact, this book even teaches you how to calculate your credit score. Nobody knows how to calculate your credit score. I know, I know exactly to the penny, to the number, the exact number, how you calculate how your credit score is calculated and why people don't they know how to calculate. They guess and they have no idea how to calculate. In this book, I teach you that. I also have talk about money mindset in this book. You know, we talked about money mindset before. First chapter is all about money mindset. I talk about charity, I talk about talk about um buying houses with no money. I try to use life insurance as a uh as a uh money multiplier system, which basically, you know, infinite banking policy. By the way, infinite banking, greatest thing ever. If you know how to do it, if you don't, if you do it wrong, it's a mess. But you can free digital copy by texting the word hacks to 26786, and you'll get a free digital copy. And I'm telling you right now, you want to read this book, it'll it'll it'll it will be so much for you. You will do this book. I get such great compliments on this book, and there's so many things about this. The subtitle is actually called Because Everything You Think You Know About Money Is Wrong. So it's you know, so this is like somebody sent me this. They were they was now and they were reading it, you know, they'll they were sitting at the beach and reading it, or reading it because people send me pictures all the time of themselves reading it. It's just a great book. So again, 26786, the word hacks, or you can go to Amazon and buy a copy. Oh, you can come to investor schooling, I'll give you one for free, and I'll even sign it. How cool is that?
Maria QuattroneThat's a good book. That's a good book. People learning, learning all it's can you learn how you can do what you learned. Yeah, how can you be your own solution? Because there's lots of different opportunities out there, you just have to want it. You know, I think having unfortunately, more people don't have this, but grit being gritty, like just rolling up your sleeves and saying, Let's get it done, let's get it done, let's go for it.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, it is you deserve it, right? I make my students stand up and say, I deserve it. I make them say it because a lot of people think they don't deserve it, right? Oh, I don't know. You know, my family's been poor. All my family's been poor, so I want to be poor. I mean, that's their attitude. It's not they don't actually say the words, although you can hear it when speak. You know, my friends might not like me anymore if I make too much money. I mean, I I it's like, really? Or I might have. Pay too much taxes. I it's like you know, I had to buy all new clothes, Maria, because I lost 50 pounds. I had to buy all new clothes, right? If I would have thought last year, uh, if I lose 50 pounds, I'll have to buy all new clothes. I'm not gonna lose the weight because I don't want to buy all new clothes. I uh this is the dumbest thing, right? I might have to pay more taxes if I make more money. Yes, you get to keep the rest. I get to live longer because I lost weight, right? I get to feel better, I get to be able to do things I couldn't do before. I mean, I I couldn't bend down. I couldn't bend down and pick some more. I could now I could do 50 squats. Right.
Maria QuattroneFirst thing is yourself.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, it's health and wealth, and and you need to have both. You need to have you need to have both.
Maria QuattroneYeah, if you have wealth and you can help more people, yeah.
Larry SteinhouseStop and stop this one. The biggest bullshit out there, right? I'm rich because I have lots of friends. I'm rich in friends. Fuck you. Okay, you have friends, that's great, but you're not rich. Be rich and have friends. People say that oh, they they do that all the time. I'd rather be rich with friends than rich with money. Are you an idiot? Why would you rather be rich with friends and be rich with money? Why not be rich with friends and rich with money? Oh, I didn't know I could have both uh it's it amazes me.
Maria QuattroneThat is amazing. So you have a radio show. Where do where do people come and find you?
Larry SteinhouseSo every Saturday we're from one to three, we do a radio show. We talk about money. I this is it's funny, this is like the show, right? You know, anything I want to talk about. Have you heard it before?
Maria QuattroneYeah, I heard the episode when you had Dan Harvey on.
Larry SteinhouseOh, Dan Harvey, that was great. Yeah, we were talking about the the black real estate investor. That was a great episode. Yeah, it's a great. I actually got somewhere because that's such a great episode. Uh it was. Yeah, but anyway, so we but we have so many different episodes, and we talk about it. You know, it's like, you know, it's funny because we've been doing I've been doing the show for eight years now, and my new co-host, they're not even new anymore, they've been for me for a while, Dr. Deb Anderson, who is the president of investor schooling, and Ami Murad, who is my partner in a bunch of different deals. So we had so those are my co-hosts, and the chemistry between the three of us is absolutely hysterical. I mean, Ami, he's Israeli, he's got his Israeli accent, so he sometimes he says words incorrectly, but sometimes he doesn't know the meaning of words. And this we just go off on a tangent on that, and it's just so much fun. You know, been doing a show for eight years, and it was, you know, it's all about finance and it's all about real estate, it's all about stock options and making money. But the best part about it is it's just fun. We just have fun. I mean, I guarantee you're gonna crack up. And you could listen to that show uh live on WPHT or you can listen to it. You go to my Facebook page, look me up on Facebook, and follow me, and you'll actually see it'll come up because we actually do it live from the studio and we do video while we're while we're while we're recording. Well, I'm sorry, while no, we don't, it's a live show, but while we're doing it live, we actually do a video so you can actually watch it on Facebook so you can watch some of the things that go on. And it's just such a great show. It really is. It's called the Larry Steinhouse Show. Uh, you can look it up also on on WPHT. There's a podcast for it. So, you know, because once they record it, they make it into a podcast. And it is, it is, it is just
Personal Economy, Mindset, And Resilience
Larry Steinhouseit's just great. Maria, we have this weekend. You want to be on the show? What sure? All right, I'll tell you what, why don't you show up my office? Seriously, show up my office this weekend. Um, show up, and you're gonna be uh you're gonna be a we're gonna interview you on our show.
Maria Quattrone12 30 on Saturday.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, and the reason for you is because you're you're one of the best real estate agents out there, and I will be able to have somebody who's one of the best real estate out there agents out there to talk about that. So 12 30 this Saturday, you'll be on my show. So actually, the show is like one o'clock, but I need you there at 12:30 just to do what you know, just to get you prepped.
Maria QuattroneAll right, I can do it. I just stick to my calendar. I'm doing two podcasts before that.
Larry SteinhouseThat's awesome.
Maria QuattroneI'll rock and roll right out of here and that's awesome. Right up 95.
Larry SteinhouseThere you go. That's awesome. Yeah, and then reach out to me privately and I'll you know give you the address. I mean, the address is our office, it's 108 corporate drive in in Langhorn, but you know, just make sure you you got the directions. One or wait 108 corporate drive and for investor schooling is a way one more time. If you want to go to investor school, you can take a free class this Thursday. You could any, if you're watching this at all, any Thursday, you could class this Thursday, and you're gonna learn something. I promise you're gonna learn something. Matter of fact, what we do on the free class is we it's not a sales pitch. We just have you come in and sit in a class and you're gonna learn something. You know, we're people paid paid a lot of money to take classes, and you get to sit in one class for free and just see what we teach or see how we teach. Look, you know, I'm a crazy guy, right? You could tell already that I, you know, I'm I'm a little bit different than the average, you know, uh, I'd instructor or the average fester guy or the average whatever, right? So you can see what my style is like. Now, I'm gonna tell you something interesting. I teach finances at a sixth grade education level. That's my thing. I want everybody to understand it. I want, you know, I don't want to be overcomplicated. Now, Brian, who is my assistant fund manager, when he does a class, he does it at a higher level. He does it at a very higher level. And Brian is Brian's amazing, amazing stock trader who I trained. Like he never did stocks or options before. He came to us four or five years ago, and then for the last two years, he's been seriously doing stock options, and he's taken everything I taught him and taken it to another level. And when he teaches it, he teaches advanced stuff. And it's great because now you have the mix. In fact, in fact, if you become a student of ours in either the platinum program or the onyx program, we have something called the Onyx Club. And check this out, Maria. People come to my house the first Monday of the month, they come to my house and they watch Brian and I trade other people's money. So imagine that we trade $10 million right in front of you. $10 million right in front of you. We the conversations we have, I mean, they're priceless conversations of what stocks, why we're doing what we're doing, you know, our philosophy at the moment. I mean, it's just an amazing thing. As a matter of fact, if you're like, you know, if you're out of state, you could come in via Zoom too. So all the people in the Plattin program and the Onyx program, yeah, I'm gonna tell you there are expensive programs, but in those programs, you get to watch this. It's amazing to see this, and sometimes it gets really intense. You know, we've been talking for an hour now.
Maria QuattroneYeah, that's how it goes.

Maria, how much am I charging you to be on my radio show? Nothing, nothing yet.
Maria QuattroneBut right. Wait, but here's the thing, Larry. You asked me, and I didn't hesitate, right?
Larry SteinhouseI said yes, right, of course.
Maria QuattroneThat's the thing. People go, uh no, Saturday. Yeah, oh, I don't know.

Larry SteinhouseYeah, whatever, right? I mean, exactly, right? I mean, you have a it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. And by the way, if you said no, I'd never ask you again.
Maria QuattroneWell, I already said that way.
Larry SteinhouseOh no, I'm just that way. You know, if you said no, I was okay, I'll never ask Maria again. Because that's how it is. That's how it has to be when somebody I I'm gonna tell you, I'm gonna I'm gonna we're pretty much done anyway, but I'm gonna tell you this story, right? Last year, somebody called me up and they said, Hey, do you want to be knighted? You know what I mean by knighted?
Maria QuattroneLike a knight of something like that exactly.
Larry SteinhouseI forgot the order of the night, and I'm like, and I can't believe I did this. I said, I'm not ready yet. What an idiot I am. What an idiot. Come back, like being Sir Lawrence. How cool is that, right? And what an idiot I am. I said no. And then I see on Facebook, I see a friend of mine who was knighted that the day I was supposed to be knighted. And guess why he was knighted? Because you said no. Because I said no. I can't, I I cannot believe how dumb that was. Now, hopefully the opportunity will come up again because I know the the the high, exalted, whatever the heck he is uh of the order, and he'll again I hope. But how can I say no? What's wrong with me? I said no. So now I could have, you know, I could have been
Education That Pays: Investor Schooling
Larry Steinhouseknighted, I could be seen now, but yeah, anyway. You know, it's it's it's not a big deal, but it's a big deal. You know what I mean?
Maria QuattroneI said well, it all comes down to what's our fault.
Larry SteinhouseI didn't show up for my own success story, and that's the story. Show up for your own success story, be the solution, be the solution and and be the solution to your life. Forget about everything else. I mean, don't go out there and and hold up signs and go, I really care about people because I'm holding up a sign. No, go go out there and do something, be the solution, change people's lives. You know, I change people's lives one life at a time. Maria QuattroneOh, it was fantastic.
Larry SteinhouseYeah, we're gonna be I'm gonna use that cater again. I don't know if we're using it for this event, but we're gonna use that cater again for so many other things.
Maria QuattroneYeah, very creative. And he was bust, he was busting his butt.
